About the role
Responsibilities
- Strategize, grow, and implement WRA’s CEI practice in Central Florida from the Tampa office
- Develop and advance existing teaming partner and client relationships
- Support business development efforts to pursue CEI opportunities with FDOT and local governments
- Lead teams in pursuing potential work, including preparing Letters of Response and RFPs
- Prepare CEI scopes, budgets, and fee estimates for submission and negotiation
- Oversee the hiring, managing, training, and retaining of CEI staff
- Manage contracts and perform technical assignments on Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects
- Ensure high quality of work, client satisfaction, and accurate invoice review
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of FDOT Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) or Construction Management experience
- Extensive knowledge of roadway and bridge construction management in Florida
- Demonstrated experience with both Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build project types
- Proven track record in business development, client services, and proposal writing
- Strong personnel management skills, including mentoring and team building
- Excellent oral and technical writing skills for client interviews and construction reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- 4-year BS degree in a relevant discipline
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certificate
- Experience as a Senior Project Engineer or Project Administrator on FDOT projects
- Experience with CPM scheduling (Primavera P6 or MS Project) and PSP certification
- Experience with project controls, including claims analysis and constructability reviews
- Experience with utility projects (public, IT/fiber, or private dry utilities)
