CECS Marketing Student Ambassador

Responsibilities

• Brainstorm, pitch, and create engaging social media content for prospective and current students
• Edit videos and photos for various platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp
• Recruit CECS students to participate in social media content and video projects
• Attend CECS events to capture high-quality photos and videos using a personal smartphone
• Develop content capture plans, including scripts, schedules, and organizational workflows
• Provide a student perspective and feedback on CECS marketing efforts
• Provide as-needed event support such as setup, staffing, and teardown

Requirements

• Must be a current or incoming undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS)
• Ability to produce a 30-60 second vertical video for Instagram as part of the application process
• A cover letter is required and must be attached as the first page of your resume

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
• Experience with video editing software and photography/video capture
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
