CDL Yard Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely transport waste between facilities using tractors, trailers, tankers, roll off frames, and box vans
• Perform warehouse duties including receipt, shipment, storage, and distribution of waste materials
• Load, unload, move, or store items according to routing documents
• Label containers and complete pre-printed manifests
• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and hand trucks
• Perform regulatory compliance tasks such as pre-trip and post-trip inspections, placarding, and load securement
• Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns to management immediately

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and valid TWIC card
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Fluency in verbal and written English

Preferred Qualifications

• HAZMAT and/or Tanker endorsements
• Experience as a yard jockey, hostler, or driving box trucks
• Experience with Vac Trucks, straight trucks, or combo vehicles
• Experience with roll-off bins/boxes
