CDL Residential Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection trucks, including side-load or rear-load vehicles and hydraulic systems
• Collect solid waste and recyclables on specified curbside or backdoor routes
• Load waste and recyclables into the vehicle and operate compaction equipment
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and maintain accurate daily truck reports
• Comply with all federal, state, and local safety regulations and company policies
• Maintain professional demeanor when interacting with customers and the public
• Identify and tag prohibited waste items to ensure safety and compliance
• Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Minimum of one year of commercial driving experience or a CDL school certificate
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively using proper techniques
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive function criteria according to company standards
• Ability to maneuver large vehicles in tight spaces and high-traffic areas
