CDL Instructor

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in operating CDL vehicles such as tractor trailers and buses
• Teach parking methods and pre-trip/in-cab inspections
• Prepare materials for trucking simulator lessons and evaluate student performance
• Track student vehicle time and maintain required paperwork
• Implement safety policies and conduct routine vehicle inspections
• Oversee students operating vehicles on public roadways

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Clean driving record
• Two years of relevant experience
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physical ability to climb in and out of trucks and buses and lift at least 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish
• Teaching or law enforcement background
