CDL Hi-Rail Railroad Technician

Responsibilities

• Oversee and complete assigned jobs and contracts
• Apply herbicides for weed, grass, and brush control along railroads
• Mix tanks and calibrate spray equipment
• Perform daily truck inspections, routine maintenance, and system repairs
• Maintain accurate daily and weekly records
• Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations
• Communicate professionally with customers to address complaints
• Identify vegetation types and apply proper chemical application methods

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 21+ years of age
• Valid CDL (Class A or B) with tanker and air brake endorsements
• 5 years of total clean driving experience
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks
• Ability to travel away from home for 4–6 weeks at a time
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and federal background check
• Flexibility to work 10–12 hour shifts, including potential weekends or nights
