CDL Driver

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants and job sites
• Manage daily electronic logs, plan efficient routes, and meet delivery schedules
• Perform required pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify mechanical or safety issues
• Comply with all DOT rules and regulations regarding weight, size, route designations, and break periods
• Secure loads according to DOT requirements using proper flagging and tarping methods
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions and obey all yard and worksite safety rules
• Maintain truck, trailer, and securement devices in a neat and orderly fashion
• Ensure all parts picked up or returned are accurately accounted for on packing lists and invoices

Requirements

• Valid CDL and current DOT medical card
• At least 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Proven experience operating manual-transmission and tri-axle trucks
• Experience driving flatbed trucks
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing trailers and throwing securement straps
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random DOT drug and alcohol testing
• Clean driving record with no major FMCSA violations and minimal preventable accidents
• Must be at least 23 years of age
