CDL Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
• Transport heavy equipment loads safely and in a timely manner while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations
• Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas and assist with loading and unloading materials
• Maintain signed invoices, bills of lading, and required delivery paperwork
• Perform routine service checks on trucks and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor
• Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL or state-appropriate chauffeur's license for vehicle weight class
• Pass DOT physical and comply with federal and state DOT background and drug testing regulations
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
• Able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and travel frequently
• Clean shaven may be required to deliver to certain customers
