CDL Crane Rigger

Responsibilities

• Support crane operators during lifting operations through rigging and hand signals
• Operate vehicles in compliance with DOT laws and regulations
• Assist in the maintenance, set-up, and tear-down of cranes and accessory equipment
• Inspect trucks, trailers, and rigging gear (chains, straps, etc.) for safety and reliability
• Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoists, and pulling gear
• Control movements of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces
• Select appropriate gears, cables, and shackles based on load size and schedule
• Signal workers to ensure the safety of personnel and materials

Requirements

• CDL Class A license
• Rigging experience
• Knowledge of crane hand signals
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass drug test and background check
• Flexibility to travel, including weekends and overnight stays
• Strong mechanical reasoning and math skills (weights, measurement, balance)

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification
• NCCCO Rigger certification
