CDL B Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle safely within DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection, and maintenance
• Courteously drive a company-provided tractor-trailer to required destinations
• Operate computer and internal freight monitoring systems
• Sort, handle, load, and unload freight at destinations
• Maintain availability for around-the-clock shifts to accommodate freight movements

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) for at least 2 years
• 2 years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience or graduation from a State Certified and Licensed truck driving school
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations for receipts, logs, and maps
• Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems
• Ability to meet U.S. Dept. of Transportation medical standards and pass a drug test
• Ability to drive full shifts in all weather conditions
