CDL B Local Delivery Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Run daily delivery routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times
• Unload product from trailers using hand trucks or carts and place items in designated customer storage areas
• Frequently lift, push, or move products weighing between 1 and 75 pounds, with the ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Verify deliveries with customers, obtain proper signatures, and handle discrepancies or returns professionally
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies
• Maintain company equipment properly and follow all written driver safety rules

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B required; Class A preferred)
• Minimum of one year of route delivery experience or applicable experience driving a straight truck
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand traffic signs, and complete reports
• Physical ability to climb on and off the truck, bend, squat, push, pull, and work in confined spaces
