CDL B Local Delivery Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely transport products from the warehouse to customer locations according to assigned routes and schedules
• Unload products by hand or using hand carts down ramps, stairs, or docks in various weather conditions
• Deliver and place products in designated customer storage areas following specific customer instructions
• Manage customer returns and damaged goods by picking up and transporting them back to the warehouse
• Complete all required paperwork, including DOT logs, vehicle inspections, and maintenance reports
• Maintain food safety protocols by monitoring vehicle temperatures and preventing cross-contamination
• Build strong customer relationships through excellent service and clear communication
• Operate assigned equipment such as hand carts, pallets, and load bars safely

Requirements

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• High school diploma, GED, or completion of a tractor-trailer driving school
• Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing up to 50 lbs by hand
• Ability to push/pull up to 350 lbs using a 2-wheeled hand cart
• Proficiency in reading and speaking English to interact with the public and complete official reports
• Ability to work various schedules, including overnights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
