CDL B Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles in compliance with state and federal transportation laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain regulatory logs
• Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading areas
• Assist with loading and unloading goods using specialized equipment
• Assemble customer loads according to delivery lists
• Maintain signed invoices, bills of lading, and required paperwork
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report malfunctions
• Organize trailers in the shipping yard and assist with inventory control
• Operate forklifts and other vehicles safely
• Provide quality customer service and assist customers in the yard

Requirements

• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or chauffeur's license
• Proven delivery driver experience with customer-facing interaction
• Experience operating a forklift and straight truck
• Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Ability to pass and maintain background checks, drug testing, and a DOT physical
• Basic knowledge of lumber and building products
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs unassisted and stand/sit for 8+ hours
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and climb stairs while carrying material
