CDL B Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles according to state and federal transportation laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure safety compliance
• Manage and transport loads safely and timely over required routes
• Maintain required regulatory logs and electronic logging devices
• Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas
• Assist with loading and unloading goods using specialized equipment
• Assemble customer loads in accordance with delivery lists
• Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and required paperwork
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
• Organize trailers in the shipping yard to optimize efficiency
• Assist in maintaining yard inventory control and cleanliness
• Operate forklifts and other vehicles safely

Requirements

• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or chauffeur's license
• Proven delivery driver experience with customer-facing interaction
• Experience operating a forklift and straight truck
• Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Ability to pass and maintain background, drug, and DOT physical testing
• Basic knowledge of lumber and building products
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs unassisted and stand/sit for 8+ hours
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and climb stairs while carrying material
