CDL A Yard Driver

Responsibilities

• Reposition commercial tractors and trailers in non-highway yard areas, including backing trailers to dock doors
• Shuttle equipment to and from logistics or lease companies
• Conduct yard walks to identify and document vehicle defects and communicate maintenance needs
• Monitor trailer temperatures for refrigerated products to ensure food safety
• Maintain accurate paperwork, including DVIR booklets and DOT log regulations
• Comply with all company safety policies, including chock, safety cone, and dock signal light protocols
• Assist with unloading trailers and backhauls when necessary

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A CDL with Air Brakes
• Current DOT Medical Certification
• At least six months of verifiable CMV driving experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods, work in refrigerated conditions, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently (100 lbs occasionally)

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of verifiable CMV driving experience
• Proof of 25,000 verifiable miles of CMV driving experience
