CDL-A Local Driver/Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of cargo to and from various destinations, typically near the distribution center
• Load and unload trailers using standard dock worker techniques and technology
• Operate a forklift as needed for cargo handling
• Complete routine paperwork and properly log loading sheets
• Perform tractor/trailer inspections and tractor setup
• Exercise independent judgment regarding trailer building and weight distribution compliance

Requirements

• Class A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements (no automatic restriction)
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 21
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements
• Safe driving record and a stable work history
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
