CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer to deliver various food products to customer locations
• Manually unload and deliver products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, and dry goods
• Build and maintain positive professional relationships with customers on assigned routes
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing between 40 and 100 pounds
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required for deliveries and inspections

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a driving record meeting company insurability standards
• Ability to lift, push, or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and up to 100 pounds repeatedly
• Proficiency in English to communicate with the public, understand traffic signs, and complete reports
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
• Ability to pass employment testing

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of customer delivery experience
• 6 months of experience using a hand cart or hand truck
• 6 months of experience in the Food and Beverage industry
• 2 years of consistent work history
