CBRN Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct CBRN detection operations, including stakeholder coordination, logistics planning, and equipment management
• Develop and deliver training on equipment protocols and program policies to various stakeholders
• Maintain regional documentation, including electronic and paper file systems, following strict standards
• Manage equipment maintenance and adhere to tactics, techniques, and procedure standards
• Support fleet management by tracking and filing vehicle information in accordance with DHS policies
• Prepare and present situational reports (SITREPs) and after-action reports (AARs)
• Provide technical support and perform duties as required by federal oversight

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance and ability to obtain DHS Suitability
• 5 years of experience in radiological and nuclear detection and training
• Experience with CBRN training, exercises, and special event operations (SEAR or NSSE)
• Proficiency with radiation detection equipment, including Mobile/Portable Radiation Detection Systems and RIID
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment
• Valid driver's license with experience towing large trailers (including fifth wheels)
• Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the month within the US and its territories
