About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point-of-contact and subject matter expert for all C&B-related matters, issues, and policies
- Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing C&B programs
- Model potential impact of compensation alternatives
- Partner with HR colleagues and Business clients to manage and consult on C&B issues
- Develop solutions for total compensation including base pay, annual incentive pay, and stock compensation
- Plan, develop, and re-design benefit programs and analyze benefit costs
- Conduct competitive compensation benchmarking surveys, job matching, and job evaluations
- Partner with regional or global C&B counterparts to enhance programs or policies
Requirements
- Full bilingual skills in Japanese and English
- Strong understanding of compensation and benefits systems and legislation in Japan
- Working knowledge of applicable taxation laws in Japan
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
- Background in project management
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, demanding environment
