About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point-of-contact and subject matter expert for all C&B-related matters, issues, and policies
  • Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing C&B programs
  • Model potential impact of compensation alternatives
  • Partner with HR colleagues and Business clients to manage and consult on C&B issues
  • Develop solutions for total compensation including base pay, annual incentive pay, and stock compensation
  • Plan, develop, and re-design benefit programs and analyze benefit costs
  • Conduct competitive compensation benchmarking surveys, job matching, and job evaluations
  • Partner with regional or global C&B counterparts to enhance programs or policies

Requirements

  • Full bilingual skills in Japanese and English
  • Strong understanding of compensation and benefits systems and legislation in Japan
  • Working knowledge of applicable taxation laws in Japan
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
  • Background in project management
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, demanding environment
