Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pre, intra, and post-procedural nursing care for adult patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Perform technical procedures including operating diagnostic imaging equipment and assisting physicians with angiograms
• Assist with the implantation of pacemaker and internal defibrillator devices
• Act in various intra-procedural roles including circulator, scrub, and monitor
• Gather patient data through history taking and physical assessment to plan and evaluate interventions
• Administer medications within the scope of practice for the State of New Hampshire
• Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and post-discharge management
• Participate in departmental, team, and committee goals to ensure high-quality clinical standards

Requirements

• Graduate from a state-accredited school of Nursing
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to obtain Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification within 2 years of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• One year of cardiovascular nursing experience
