Catheterisation Laboratory Nurse

Responsibilities

• Conduct various cardiac catheterisation procedures, including diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Work closely with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort
• Accurately record test results and collaborate with cardiologists on care plans
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Adhere to clinical protocols and stay updated on catheterisation techniques
• Participate in quality assurance and assist in training junior staff
• Manage inventory and supplies for the catheterization lab
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Degree in Cardiac Physiology or related field
• HCPC registration
• Extensive experience in cardiac catheterisation procedures
• Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional catheterisation techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and accuracy
