About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee off-site event kitchens to ensure high-quality food production and presentation
- Prepare and organize all necessary food items, garnishes, and seasonings for event departure
- Set up on-site kitchen equipment, including stoves and ovens, ensuring safety and optimal use
- Create and manage a culinary timeline for hors d'oeuvres, salads, main courses, and desserts
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure all courses are prepared according to standards and timing
- Assist with dinner service and set up sample plates to establish quality expectations for staff
- Secure the kitchen area by cleaning equipment and accounting for leftovers before departure
Requirements
- 2 years of previous professional cooking experience
- TIPS or ServSafe Food Handling Certificate
- TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol Certificate
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 25 lbs
- Ability to stand for 6-8 hours per day
- Availability to work overtime and holidays as needed
