Category Manager - Sneakers

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the growth strategy for the sneakers category within the platform
• Own category-level performance across supply, engagement, and revenue
• Maintain deep knowledge of sneaker culture, including key sellers, creators, and pricing dynamics
• Build and manage a pipeline of high-impact sneaker sellers, shops, and influencers
• Partner with Category Marketing to design culturally authentic activations and campaigns
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape features for sneaker buyers and sellers
• Document learnings and frameworks to build the category ownership playbook

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in category management, partnerships, marketplace growth, or brand roles
• Deeply embedded in sneaker culture and the existing ecosystem
• Proven ability to own outcomes and execute strategies
• Strong relationship-building skills with community members and creators
• Data-literate with an understanding of pricing, margins, and liquidity
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building from the ground up

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing network of sneaker resellers, store owners, or influencers
• Experience operating within resale marketplaces
• Familiarity with content-driven commerce or creator platforms
• Experience working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams
