Category Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive category plans aligned with business objectives
• Analyze category performance data to identify trends and opportunities
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and procurement to optimize assortments
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers for optimal pricing
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities
• Develop promotional campaigns to drive consumer engagement
• Manage inventory levels to ensure availability and minimize excess stock
• Train and mentor junior team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in category management within retail or e-commerce
• Proven experience in developing and executing category strategies
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data reporting tools
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of grocery or FMCG industry is a plus
