Category Manager - Indirect Procurement

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for CapEx goods and plant services to align with manufacturing needs.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including market analysis, supplier identification, RFP/RFQ, and performance evaluation.
• Conduct complex contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, SLAs, and compliance with company policies.
• Monitor and report on KPIs related to savings, supplier performance, and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across IT, HR, and Finance to understand technical requirements.
• Manage supplier performance and mitigate supply risks to ensure business continuity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• Proven expertise in CapEx goods and services, specifically within a manufacturing plant environment.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
• Deep knowledge of the Indian supply base for CapEx and service procurement.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

• MBA or Post Graduate degree.
