Category Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain category strategy in service of company-wide goals
• Own the identification, evaluation, and choice of suppliers and SKUs for the protein category
• Coordinate, negotiate, and manage RFPs with new and current suppliers
• Build strategic supplier partnerships to foster innovation and reduce cost
• Conduct supply market analysis and collect supplier intelligence
• Work with culinary teams to identify new ingredient needs and test suppliers
• Partner with legal to negotiate contract terms and manage compliance
• Collaborate with warehouse and site teams to improve supply chain performance
• Monitor key metrics including cost, quality, supply continuity, and inventory health
• Identify and commercialize new product opportunities

Requirements

• 5+ years of procurement and sourcing experience
• Experience in food category-related procurement preferred
• Background in food and beverage industry highly preferred
• Strong data and numerical orientation with Excel/GSheet proficiency
• Strong analytical mindset to translate data into business recommendations
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Completion of a four-year degree program in a related field
