Category Manager (Food)

Responsibilities

• Develop short-term and long-term category strategies for US and global markets across Club, Retail, and Food Services channels
• Maintain a strategic multi-year roadmap to support category growth, profitability, and compelling product positioning
• Manage products by analyzing sales volumes, market share trends, and competitive activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, SCM, R&D, and Operations to drive innovation and distribution strategies
• Lead the development of annual marketing plans based on deep consumer insights and macro trends
• Set and manage P&L targets by channel
• Oversee the New Product Development (NPD) process from conception through execution, including pricing, positioning, and packaging
• Manage product lifecycles, including SKU rationalization and product improvements
• Develop data-driven dashboards to monitor category performance and support the Sales team
• Oversee one direct report

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in brand or product innovation marketing within the CPG industry
• 5+ years of experience as a Marketing Category Manager or in a similar leadership role
• Strong P&L management knowledge
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
• Hands-on experience with IRI, Nielsen, and Spins data tools
• Bilingual in Korean
• Ability to travel as required
