Category Manager - Drilling & Completions

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for drilling and completions materials, equipment, and services
• Conduct market analysis and supplier assessments to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation
• Lead negotiations and contract management with key suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions
• Collaborate with engineering, projects, and operations teams to understand procurement needs and specifications
• Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Manage category budget and support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain
• Ensure alignment with company procurement policies, health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in category management or strategic procurement within the drilling and completions sector
• Strong knowledge of drilling and completions products, vendors, and market dynamics
• Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to the oil and gas industry is preferred
