Category Manager Buch

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage optimal assortment strategies for Non-Fiction & Leisure categories (e.g., travel, hobby, nature, garden)
• Manage the procurement of new products and ongoing assortment maintenance to ensure market relevance
• Conduct market and competitor analyses and evaluate internal KPIs to drive category performance
• Plan and coordinate targeted product promotions to maximize sales success and enhance customer experience
• Manage supplier relationships, including regular communication and preparation for supplier meetings
• Coordinate with the marketing team to implement effective promotional measures for your product ranges

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Media Studies, or a comparable qualification
• Proven experience in Category Management or Product Management, ideally within the book or retail industry
• Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI-based management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with SAP applications
• Structured, independent, and result-oriented working style
• Excellent communication skills and a confident manner when dealing with external partners
