Category Manager – Brake Systems & ADAS

Responsibilities

• Lead the Category Management Team to develop and execute sourcing strategies for Brake Systems and ADAS
• Drive cost reductions, supplier performance improvements, and supply base management
• Negotiate commercial terms, long-term supply agreements, and resolve open supplier issues
• Partner cross-functionally with R&D, program management, quality, manufacturing, finance, operations, purchasing, and engineering
• Analyze supplier cost structures, market conditions, and business cases to identify savings and mitigate risk
• Communicate progress and escalate issues effectively across stakeholders
• Support and manage assigned sourcing specialist workload where applicable

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of purchasing/procurement experience
• Master's degree and at least 4 years of purchasing/procurement experience
• At least 8 years of purchasing/procurement experience
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on an unrestricted basis
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to read and execute commercial agreements and contracts

Preferred Qualifications

• Procurement experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry
• Experience sourcing components and leading strategic negotiations
• Ability to understand technical concepts and develop executive-level presentations
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across global business cultures
• Manufacturing background
