Category Manager - Apparel

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the growth strategy for the apparel category within the platform
• Own category-level performance across supply, engagement, and revenue
• Maintain deep knowledge of apparel culture, including brands, sub-segments, and seasonal drops
• Build and manage a pipeline of high-impact apparel sellers, designers, and influencers
• Partner with Category Marketing to design culturally authentic activations and campaigns
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape features for category sellers and buyers
• Document learnings and frameworks to build the category ownership playbook

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in category management, partnerships, marketplace growth, or brand roles in apparel or streetwear
• Deeply embedded in second-hand fashion and apparel culture
• Strong relationship-building skills with creators and community members
• Data-literate with an understanding of pricing, margins, and liquidity
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience executing and iterating on strategy

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing network of apparel resellers, brand operators, or designers
• Experience operating within resale or fashion marketplaces
• Familiarity with content-driven commerce or creator platforms
• Experience working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams
• Experience running a business or startup
