About the role
Responsibilities
- Influence and align internal and external stakeholders to shape sourcing strategies and drive successful execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, finance, supply chain, and program teams.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives to deliver measurable financial impact.
- Drive strategic sourcing efforts for new product programs and business transfers, ensuring supplier readiness and continuity of supply.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to establish strong commercial terms and long-term partnerships.
- Own supplier performance management using data-driven reviews to improve quality, delivery, and cost.
- Partner with the Best Cost Country Sourcing team to strengthen the global supply base.
- Manage the workload of an assigned sourcing specialist where applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing experience with at least 1 year of lead experience.
- OR Master's degree and 3 years of supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing experience with at least 1 year of lead experience.
- OR 8 years of supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing experience with at least 1 year of lead experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Procurement background within the automotive or commercial vehicle industries.
- Experience with aftermarket parts or categories.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand technical concepts.
- Proven experience in sourcing components and leading complex negotiations.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
