Category Management Director

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the designated Category Management support function, establishing priorities and performance expectations.
• Lead the execution of enterprise category strategies across assigned spend portfolios, incorporating market intelligence and total cost of ownership.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Category Management team through coaching, mentorship, and talent development.
• Serve as the senior relationship owner for strategic suppliers and key internal stakeholders to drive competitive advantage and innovation.
• Align category strategies with operational requirements by maintaining a strong understanding of site operations and demand drivers.
• Deliver measurable enterprise value, including cost optimization, cost avoidance, and supply risk reduction.
• Establish governance and oversight for category management deliverables to ensure disciplined execution and cross-functional collaboration.
• Lead the resolution of complex supplier, commercial, and risk issues impacting business continuity.
• Champion continuous improvement by promoting the use of data analytics, benchmarking, and standardized supply chain processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Ten (10) or more years of business relevant experience.
• Two (2) or more years of leadership experience.
