About the role
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with customer partners and serve as a trusted resource for category insights and growth opportunities.
- Develop expertise in category trends, consumer behavior, competitive activity, and product performance across in-store and online channels.
- Support assortment, merchandising, pricing, promotional, and new product strategies to drive category growth.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to identify opportunities, risks, and performance gaps, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Insights, and eCommerce teams to support business planning and growth initiatives.
- Lead category reviews and provide recommendations related to shelf and merchandising optimization.
- Create and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools to track business performance and key metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in CPG, retail, or syndicated data with a focus on category management, sales, or shopper insights.
- Strong experience leveraging syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana) and POS/loyalty data to drive growth.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and compelling stories.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to build collaborative partnerships with retail customers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPCM certification and/or a Master’s degree.
- Experience in sales or analytical sales support, including customer-facing engagement.
- Experience working with third-party agencies such as brokers or data providers.
- Beverage or DSD (Direct Store Delivery) experience.
- Proficiency with analytical tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or Alteryx.
