Category Buying Assistant

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of article, price, supplier, and condition data in coordination with suppliers and strategic buyers
• Act as an escalation point for complaints, specifically regarding price discrepancies and operational delivery disruptions
• Create and prepare evaluations, analyses, and decision bases to support strategic purchasing decisions
• Support strategic buyers in the preparation and follow-up of contract and price negotiations, including data preparation and documentation
• Coordinate interfaces with internal stakeholders such as Demand & Supply, Finance, Quality Assurance, Category Management, and Retail Media

Requirements

• Completed commercial training or a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or a comparable field
• Ideally initial professional experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or an operational interface function
• Confident and service-oriented communication with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Analytical thinking and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple parallel tasks
• High affinity for numbers and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Very good German skills and good English skills in speaking and writing
