Category Buyer

Responsibilities

• Lead category procurement for MRO items, spare parts, consumables, and service agreements
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for owning vs. rental options
• Evaluate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and full life-cycle costing
• Execute sourcing events including RFI/RFQ/RFP processes
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations
• Draft and administer contracts including KPIs and penalties
• Manage vendor onboarding, performance, and assessments
• Track and report cost savings, cost avoidance, and category spend
• Support site operations with PR-to-PO processing in Oracle

Requirements

• Expertise in strategic sourcing and category management
• Experience in complex negotiations and equipment hiring
• Knowledge of bank guarantees, Letters of Credit, and commercial instruments
• Experience with import processes, freight forwarding, and customs clearance
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably Oracle
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong communication skills in English and local language
