Category Assistant Intern

Responsibilities

• Support category leaders and buyers with day-to-day merchandising, including assortment planning and inventory management
• Assist in vendor communication and relationship management to ensure product quality and timely delivery
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging consumer trends and opportunities
• Maintain accurate product data, pricing, and inventory records within the merchandising system
• Identify and correct errors in product descriptions, visuals, or data
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute promotional campaigns and product launches
• Prepare presentations and reports for category reviews and business meetings

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university with at least six months remaining until graduation
• Proficient in German, Chinese, and English
• Basic analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Maximum of 2 years of professional work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant experience in retail, merchandising, or buying through internships or other roles
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online shopping trends
