Category Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage retailer item and distribution inputs for National Distribution Tracking (NDT) across multiple customers
• Review and validate category management data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Conduct robust analysis using research, analytical tools, and data visualization to identify business opportunities
• Support the development and maintenance of JDA/Blue Yonder planograms and merchandising layouts
• Serve as a liaison between category management, IT, shopper insights, and customer-facing teams
• Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and tracking tools used for distribution and category reporting
• Perform data audits and quality checks to ensure reporting integrity
• Provide trend analysis and customized reports for cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (required)
• Minimum of 3 years of business experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
• Strong analytical mindset and data skills
• Knowledge of syndicated data such as Circana (IRI)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in category management, business analytics, or shopper insights
• Experience with JDA Space Planning software
• Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or MicroStrategy
