Cataloguer, Jewellery

Responsibilities

• Assist senior members with research and cataloguing items to high standards
• Correspond with external experts
• Translate English catalogues into Chinese and vice versa
• Proof-read catalogue texts and assist with layouts and photography
• Provide exemplary verbal and written service to clients
• Respond to estimate enquiries, photo-forms, and general correspondence
• Prepare and translate condition reports
• Assist in pre-sale and post-sale activities
• Support the Jewellery Department on ad-hoc assignments
• Operate in accordance with company compliance and corporate governance

Requirements

• University graduate, preferably in translation or language
• High jewellery background is an advantage
• GIA qualification preferred
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
• Excellent written skills in English and Chinese
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong research, organizational, and attention to detail skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle a wide range of tasks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
