CASS Manager

Responsibilities

• Maintain the CASS Governance Framework, including the development of strategy and policy.
• Assess organizational, system, and regulatory changes to validate the adequacy of the CASS framework.
• Develop and deliver CASS training to the business and provide technical support to clients.
• Act as a senior representative at CASS Governance meetings and a primary contact for external auditors and clients.
• Identify, report, and resolve CASS incidents, including performing root cause analysis and implementing remedial steps.
• Oversee key CASS areas including interpretation, risks, client onboarding, and change management.
• Review CMAR monthly submissions and daily client money reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain effective MI, KPIs, and documentation such as the CASS Risk & Controls Matrix.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a compliance, audit, or operational oversight role focusing on FCA CASS regulations (specifically CASS 7).
• In-depth understanding of Client Money and Custody Asset flows.
• Hands-on experience managing CMAR reporting, CASS records, and reconciliation requirements.
• Strong technical understanding of FCA CASS rules and industry best practices.
• Knowledge of various CASS models, including direct custody, triparty, and sub-custody arrangements.
• Excellent analytical, interpretation, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence senior management and build professional relationships with regulators and clients.
• Degree educated.
