CASS Governance & Oversight Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the oversight of the firm’s CASS control framework to ensure compliance with FCA requirements.
• Provide independent challenge over the design and operation of CASS controls, processes, and systems.
• Oversee the identification, investigation, and remediation of CASS incidents and breaches, including root cause analysis.
• Manage the CASS Committee calendar, agenda planning, and the preparation of reporting packs.
• Collate and analyze CASS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to provide management insight.
• Oversee CASS-relevant third-party relationships, including banks and custodians, through due diligence and ongoing monitoring.
• Review CASS-relevant agreements and maintain control documentation, including the CASS Resolution Pack (CASS 10).

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a CASS oversight role within a first or second line of defence or an audit practice.
• Strong working knowledge of FCA CASS rules (Client Money and/or Custody).
• Proven experience in governance, oversight, assurance, or audit-style reviews.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide constructive challenge.
• Proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and SQL.
• Experience producing management information (MI) and governance reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
