About the role
Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems
- Provide friendly and courteous customer service
- Manage cash, card, and other payment methods with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the checkout and sales area
- Assist with stock management, rotation, and product placement
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations
- Follow company policies regarding cash management and security protocols
- Support commercial initiatives and promote products to customers
- Handle opening and closing tasks, including cash reconciliation
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service within retail or hospitality
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash management procedures
- Strong mathematical and calculation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume retail environment
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable time management and punctuality
- Basic computer literacy
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail
- Knowledge of inventory management systems
- Multilingual skills (French proficiency is a plus)
