Cash Application Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Support internal and external customer needs regarding cash applications and disputes.
• Manage escalations for the SSC Cash Applications team and act as a resource for procedural questions.
• Perform various cash application functions including ACH, EDI, Wires, Lockbox, and manual adjustments.
• Analyze production reports to proactively identify trends or issues impacting customers.
• Work accounts with unapplied cash (OA) balances to ensure resolution before 90 days overdue.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding misapplied payments and maintenance in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement process improvement strategies.
• Gather and prepare data for internal and external audits.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent related experience in account management.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability in dispute resolution and interpersonal communication.
• Solid knowledge of accounting practices and accounts receivable reconciliation.
