Caseworker I - FOC

Responsibilities

• Perform enforcement and investigative duties in domestic relations cases
• Manage and coordinate a large, challenging caseload of clients
• Handle cases involving warrants, providing information on finances and child support processes
• Engage support payers to resolve warrants and avoid jail time
• Develop and enforce child support payment plans and conduct additional enforcement
• Handle Order to Show Cause hearings and arraignments by presenting cases to a judge
• Communicate extensively with clients, attorneys, community resources, and judicial staff
• Manage high-volume mail and phone correspondence
• Make formal recommendations to the Court

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Behavioral Science, or a related field
• Minimum of one year of experience in domestic relations, a court setting, or as a social/case worker

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of work experience in case processing, enforcement, or investigative work similar to Friend of the Court duties
• Previous experience working within a court system
• Fluency in a second language
