Case Worker

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a caseload by completing intakes and assessments for residents.
• Provide problem-solving and referral counseling to individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
• Create and implement case management strategies and connect clients to community resources.
• Support the Harm Reduction Program, including providing safer supply and assembling kits.
• Respond to client issues and crises, including assisting front desk personnel and emergency services when necessary.
• Document all activities, incidents, and client interactions accurately in log books.
• Assist with practical services such as providing evening snacks and maintaining clean common areas.

Requirements

• University or College diploma in Social Service (or an equivalent combination of education and life experience).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based word processing equipment.
• Ability to undergo a successful Vulnerable Sector Screening and background checks.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with socially disadvantaged individuals.
• Availability to work a permanent part-time schedule (16 hours per week), specifically the 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. shift on Fridays, Saturdays, and statutory holidays.
