Requirements
College Social Services education or Psychology diploma, 2 years experience in Mental Health or Addictions, First Aid/CPR certification, Crisis intervention training, Clean criminal records check
About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct consultation, referral, and supportive case management to shelter residents
- Conduct intake interviews to determine needs and offer appropriate supports
- Assist residents in establishing goals, monitoring progress, and preparing case plans for housing
- Refer residents to community resources for housing, employment, education, and recovery needs
- Document all relevant case notes while maintaining strict confidentiality and file accuracy
- Participate in regular case management meetings and staff training
- Represent the organization at community meetings as appointed
Requirements
- College Social Services education and/or a Psychology diploma or certificate
- Minimum of two years of experience in the field of Mental Health or Addictions
- Certification in First Aid/CPR
- Crisis intervention training
- Ability to pass a clean criminal records check
- Strong interpersonal skills and command of the English language
Preferred Qualifications
- Hostel Standards Training Certificate
