Case Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide direct consultation, referral, and supportive case management to shelter residents
• Conduct intake interviews to determine needs and offer appropriate supports
• Assist residents in establishing goals, monitoring progress, and preparing case plans for housing
• Refer residents to community resources for housing, employment, education, and recovery needs
• Document all relevant case notes while maintaining strict confidentiality and file accuracy
• Participate in regular case management meetings and staff training
• Represent the organization at community meetings as appointed

Requirements

• College Social Services education and/or a Psychology diploma or certificate
• Minimum of two years of experience in the field of Mental Health or Addictions
• Certification in First Aid/CPR
• Crisis intervention training
• Ability to pass a clean criminal records check
• Strong interpersonal skills and command of the English language

Preferred Qualifications

• Hostel Standards Training Certificate
