About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide case management, intake, and assessment services for individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability
- Develop and maintain individual case management strategies and referral networks to community resources
- Support residents through problem-solving, counseling, and harm reduction programs, including the distribution of safe supplies
- Monitor and record client activities and incidents accurately using log books
- Assist with front desk duties and respond to client issues or crises in a professional manner
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and staff records
Requirements
- University or College diploma in Social Service (or an equivalent combination of education and life experience)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based word processing equipment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Successful completion of a background check with vulnerable sector screening
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with socially disadvantaged populations
