Case Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide case management, intake, and assessment services for individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability
• Develop and maintain individual case management strategies and referral networks to community resources
• Support residents through problem-solving, counseling, and harm reduction programs, including the distribution of safe supplies
• Monitor and record client activities and incidents accurately using log books
• Assist with front desk duties and respond to client issues or crises in a professional manner
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and staff records

Requirements

• University or College diploma in Social Service (or an equivalent combination of education and life experience)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based word processing equipment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Successful completion of a background check with vulnerable sector screening
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with socially disadvantaged populations
