About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide targeted psychosocial support and trauma-informed care to young people aged 16–25 experiencing homelessness.
- Deliver holistic, strengths-based case management, including assessment, goal planning, and safety planning.
- Conduct intake and eligibility assessments for accommodation and various support services.
- Support young people in crisis and transitional accommodation through daily living support and skills development.
- Provide outreach support to young people living independently, couch-surfing, or in unstable housing.
- Facilitate referrals and advocacy by connecting clients with housing, education, employment, and mental health services.
- Maintain high-quality case records, reports, and risk documentation in alignment with organizational standards.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, Social Welfare, Social Science, or a related field.
- Experience supporting young people experiencing homelessness, instability, or complex needs.
- Strong understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and maintain professional boundaries.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Full driver's licence with no restrictions.
- Ability to work standard hours of Monday to Friday, 12 pm–8 pm.
