About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support SSVF Case Managers to ensure high-quality service delivery and achievement of program goals
  • Review and approve Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) requests to ensure eligibility, accuracy, and compliance with SSVF regulations
  • Conduct regular case file reviews to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
  • Monitor compliance with SSVF regulations, policies, and reporting requirements
  • Provide guidance on case planning, service coordination, and participant problem-solving
  • Track staff performance and support onboarding and ongoing training for Case Managers
  • Communicate program performance, compliance risks, and trends to the SSVF Program Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Public Administration, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in case management, housing stabilization, or Veteran-serving programs
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory, lead, or senior case management role
  • Experience reviewing, approving, and monitoring Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) requests
  • Proficiency with HMIS and other case management or data tracking systems
  • Strong understanding of documentation standards and audit readiness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field
  • Experience working directly with Veterans and VA-funded programs
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of SSVF program requirements
  • Familiarity with fair housing laws and housing stabilization practices
  • Training or certification in trauma-informed care or motivational interviewing
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities
