About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and support SSVF Case Managers to ensure high-quality service delivery and achievement of program goals
- Review and approve Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) requests to ensure eligibility, accuracy, and compliance with SSVF regulations
- Conduct regular case file reviews to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
- Monitor compliance with SSVF regulations, policies, and reporting requirements
- Provide guidance on case planning, service coordination, and participant problem-solving
- Track staff performance and support onboarding and ongoing training for Case Managers
- Communicate program performance, compliance risks, and trends to the SSVF Program Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Public Administration, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in case management, housing stabilization, or Veteran-serving programs
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory, lead, or senior case management role
- Experience reviewing, approving, and monitoring Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) requests
- Proficiency with HMIS and other case management or data tracking systems
- Strong understanding of documentation standards and audit readiness
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field
- Experience working directly with Veterans and VA-funded programs
- Demonstrated working knowledge of SSVF program requirements
- Familiarity with fair housing laws and housing stabilization practices
- Training or certification in trauma-informed care or motivational interviewing
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities
