About the role

Responsibilities

  • Draft and file pleadings including complaints, answers, motions, and proposed orders
  • Prepare interrogatories and requests for admission/production
  • Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and procedural rules
  • Interface with clients to field questions and gather documents
  • Manage a caseload of up to 300 active files through deadlines and hearings
  • Maintain impeccable digital and physical case records

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in probate, estate planning, or a comparable legal setting
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in Texas rules and federal FRCP discovery demands
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Tech-savvy with case-management platforms, MS Office, and e-filing portals
  • Ability to work onsite in El Paso once office renovations are complete
